I just bought an electric guitar and an iRig. Fingers are sore, but I couldn't be happier. I'll never be a rock star, but I hope to graduate to at least mildly inept from grossly incompetent.

I still remember a couple of chords from my youth.

Busy day

Sep. 26th, 2010 10:31 pm

Helped start chicken stock.
Went on walk with Lily.
Went grocery shopping.
Discovered stock was wrecked.
Mowed lawn.
Fixed string trimmer.
Cleaned up fence line.
Discovered cool new weed.
Went on walk with Lily.
Fixed helmet.
Threw out chicken stock and cleaned pans.

Helmet is totally usable and safer than ever. I riveted the new straps at the wrong angle. I can redo that if I have too, but I couldn't it again tonight.

Time for bed.

Busy busy

Lots of stuff done today...

Took down the dead wisteria, and the live wisteria (again). Started putting Pennsic stuff in a pile. Grocery shopping: still no darn twine for the mountain of cardboard. Mowed the backyard and broke the string on the string trimmer. Made zucchini bread. Cleaned up front porch. Installed laser and belt clip on P32.

Need to tape up new sword soon. I found all of the specialty tape, but can't find the duct tape. How bizarre is that?

First day back at work tomorrow; should be fun.

Easter egg hunt

  • Sam's Club
  • Trader Joe's

Dye eggs
Empty trash cans
Start MA bar application

So... In no particular order, a few things.

Birka rocks. I had a great time, even if I had to quit the tourney early and finished near the bottom. It was awesome to see everyone, and I couldn't be happier about Sir Federarch.

NRA training fees are going to, have to go up. I want to keep the prices competitive, but the range fees are painful at the local commercial ranges. I can offer a discount in Naugatuck, however, since that range is almost free.

In any case, I had an awesome (if busy) weekend!
