A 5 year mission to boldly go...

...forth and keep looking for jobs.

I've had quite a few interviews, and I even have a "contingent" offer letter in the mail from a contracting firm which is trying to land a government contract. If they get the contract, then I get a new job that is only 20 minutes from here, more money, and no irregular hours. I have another phone interview scheduled for Friday, an in-person interview with another contracting firm on Monday, and that about sums it up.

Dakota has been a good place to work, except for everything that made it a horrible place to work. I'm sorta torn about leaving there; most of the people are nice, and if they fix all of the things that are totally broken, they stand to make a lot of money. Unforunately, my checkbook is not in the sort of state to hang around for 2 years of near bankrupt ramen noodle consumption to find out if they 1) clean up their act, and 2) share the wealth. The executive management all seem to have fancy laptops and luxury cars, but there are quite a few "beaters" in the bad that wouldn't pass a PA inspection if the mechanic was your brother.

Ah well.

We put the Mustang in the newspaper, although I think we have a snowball's chance in Christian damnation of getting our price. But, we need to start somewhere, and it only cost $20 to place the ad.

My skills as an SCA fighter as coming along, I've made more visible progress in the last 4 weeks than the 8 months before that. I suspect that the pellwork with Darius is probably contributing quite a bit to that. There are quite a few people that have been rude to me that could use a through butt-kicking; the clock is ticking folks.

Well, I've been up (more-or-less) since 3:30 AM this morning, it's time for bed.
