monkey versus robot

So, in the continuing saga...

I faxed the teller receipt into the bank this morning, and called to follow up and make sure they got it. They did, but not to the right office. They are also incapable of sending a fax, so I had to fax it again to the correct office. They are now investigating the missing deposit using the teller receipt, but they have credited my account in the meantime.

Also, I called the shipping company for the bed I ordered on 12/28/2005. The bed is still on a cross-dock in Ohio. It was on a cross-dock in Ohio last week. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was sent to her voicemail. I left a message and haven't heard back. So, I contacted Sams. They don't have a phone number, but they do have online chat. This conversation went something like this:
"I have problem with order number xxxxxx; I ordered it on 12/28/2005, and I have still not received it"
"Well sir, that item takes up to four weeks for delivery."
"Today is 1/24/2006, and the item is still in Ohio. The shipping company will not commit to a delivery date, and they say that it will not be before 1/27/2006."
     "Just a moment."
"It's been sitting on a loading dock since 1/17/2006."
"I am forwarding your request to a department that will refund your shipping costs for the item."
"That's great, when can I expect to hear from them?"
"They will send you an email."

Refunding the shipping is great, since it was half as much as the actual bed. However, I still would like for the damn thing to show up. Grr.

It has been a pretty crummy day at work, too. My boss is losing his mind in anger at the company we are subcontracting through.
