I miss [livejournal.com profile] zohra, so it's difficult for me to relax. I hate sleeping by myself, so after a long night of brain-melting television (stargate sg-1, stargate atlantis, battlestar galactica) I wandered back here yawning and sleepy, but then proceeded to play video games until 1:30 AM. Nice move.

I reprogrammed the thermostat this morning to be what [livejournal.com profile] zohra and I have figured out works for us. Unfortunately, you have to set up a separate program for every single day of the week, but I didn't notice that at first. I did one and saved it, turned off hold and went to play Warcraft on the computer. A little while later, I noticed that I was freezing to death. Since the thermostat was set to ten degrees cooler than I expected, that was fairly easily explained.

Breakfast from leftover rice from lunch yesterday, since I had made far too much. We don't have any soy sauce in the house (add that to the list, along with Worchestershire sauce) so I dressed it up with salt, pepper, and Vietnamese hot sauce. I think hot sauce is going to be my new diet program. If I put enough hot sauce on it, I won't eat it as fast, and then I won't scarf as much down. Now if I can just find a way to deal with the irritation of my mucus membranes...

I watched disk one of the Known World Rattan Symposium set that [livejournal.com profile] osgkar lent me. It was worth watching, but after two and a half hours I was pretty melted. I'm thinking that the second and third disks will be more interesting, but I also expect I will need to take them in smaller bites.

Oh, I've been playing far too much Warcraft last night and this morning. However, I'm already starting to get bored of it, so I'll probably finish the rest of my chores before long. I want to drag all of the tools downstairs. Over the course of the move and the recent tumult of projects, they have become distributed around the house. Also, there is a cluster of tool-related junk taking up two shelves in the office and it needs to make way. I think if stairs weren't involved, I would have moved them already, but they keep falling down, so I have a persistent reminder of my failure to put my toys away.

So I just finished doing the federal and state taxes. I should do the York City local ones, but I'm not sure I have any oomph left for it. It is a piddly little two page form (wait, isn't the 1040A two pages, technically?) but I know I'm going to have to pay and it makes me mad. I have compromised by leaving it out on the desk where it will be in the way later.

I'm feeling cold again, perhaps I should check the thermostat.
