Mar. 18th, 2006 05:31 pmI raked the leaves in the front yard this morning. It was both easier, and worse than I expected. It really looks like the yard hasn't been maintained at all for a few years (many bare spots), so I've really got my work cut out for me this summer, just attempting to grow grass.
I have a pile of leaves in the back (I need to buy leaf bags), but in the meantime, I'll calling it "the mulch factory" so that I can justify leaving it there. The back yard is going to be a complete nightmare to do anyway, there are oodles of oak trees, and it seriously looks like it's never been raked in some areas.
So, I have two little blisters on the right hand, but now the grass in the front can grow in piece. Many thanks to
alpha_duke for the use of the rack. I will buy one soon enough, but it would have been some weeks yet otherwise.
So, it's almost time for corned-beef and potatoes (no cabbage, alas). But, I'm sure it will be fine with the death-cake that
zohra made. :-)
