Major kudos are due to jeep_squire for helping me get the plumbing done for the hose fitting. We now have access to water from outside (squee), and we even went shopping for garden hose and sundries to celebrate.

Pipe-sweating clearly is a "knack", but I think I figured out the magic of it. In all seriousness, though, I have little desire to have to find out. I used PEX fittings for the new run, and they are sweet to work on.

Perhaps tomorrow I'll wash the cars. ;-)

Tell me more about the PEX... which brand, what fittings, and what crimping tool? This is something I'm starting to look into for the log home.
