Not one, but *two* servers decided to try and eat themselves AT THE SAME TIME!
We ended up restoring one from disk backup, the other just needed some TLC. In both cases it was drive failures, and we ended up losing an entire filesystem of data that we *thought* had been mirrored to prevent just that.
Sigh. Only about three hours down the tubes working on that one. I'm really glad I migrated us away from RMAN backups though, or I'd still be working on the restore for sure. I'm not even 100% we would have been able to get it back. The new backups are a dream to restore from though.
On a more pleasant note, we watched Queen of the Damned on pay-per-view and ate Zohra's super-yummy pizza dip. The movie wasn't as good as Interview With a Vampire, but it was pretty entertaining nonetheless.
