Feb. 8th, 2004 09:43 pmSigh, here we go with another week.
I had a great weekend watching movies and generally lazing around (aside from the usual homework). Got a few things done around the house, although I still haven't gotten around to vacuuming (darn).
I took the truck up to the dealership on Saturday, but he wasn't willing to make an offer without an estimate of the body repairs. Naturally, there isn't a body shop in Pennsylvania that is open on Saturday, so I have to go tomorrow.
I'm starting to get the nerves about going to FL this weekend. I'm sure it will be fine, but I don't like to be away from
zohra for so long. I'm going to spend Friday evening and Saturday morning with my dad, and then start home. I'm still hoping to take the train, but we'll see.
I cut my hand today on a glass in the kitchen. I don't need stiches (thank heavens) but it was close. I was getting a glass out of the cupboard, and it slipped and crashed into the Kitchen-Aid mixer while I was still trying to catch it. As a result I grabbed a bunch of broken glass, and
zohra ended up having to clean up the mess (sorry).
I spent quite a bit of time this evening talking to Sarah about what she's going to study in school and do after she graduates. I don't know her very well, but I don't want to see her fall into the same pattern that I did in college. There are many options for people who like computers besides programming, so I tried to introduce her to them. It looks like I was able to give her some hints of what was coming as well; hopefully, everything will work out for her.
