Emissions inspections...
Jan. 10th, 2006 12:03 pmSo... Both the car and the truck (surprise!) passed their emissions inspections today. The truck failed on the first go, but the mechanic said "It's not what you think, you just need a new gas cap. They are $15, do you want one?"
Duh. So the new gas cap turned out to be $11, and now I have VIRs for both vehicles. I will bring in the paperwork in a bit, and then I can run up to the DMV whenever it is convenient to get my new plates. I am *way* happy about that. I have been dreading what would happen if the truck couldn't be made to pass, since although I have mixed feelings about it, I can't really afford to buy a new car right now.
Not much new otherwise. I've been playing hooky from work to do all this. Probably run up to the DMV this afternoon.
Please,
darthluna, tell the duke how fantastic his garage recommendation was. That mechanic rocks!
