Another busy week...

First off, amusing tidbits from the media. Illegal immigrants sue rancher for detaining and threatening them (and holding them for Border Protection). I'm trying to imagine the jury that would find against the rancher, but I guess we'll see.

Looks like the last time I posted was a week ago. So, to sum up...

I went to the company meeting, got a couple of awards, and schmoozed a bit. I'm working with the CFO to see if there is a way that the CT citizens who work for the company can avoid paying NY taxes. He's also interested in having in-house counsel: the legal fees for the company's legal work are climbing. I'm still sort of hoping I can make that work, as a just in case, if the legal market doesn't recover.

Philly was great, aside from the vexing traffic and horrific parking tickets. Lily has been a great traveler, I have to say. We got to visit the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. They have redone a lot of that since I was last there.

Then we went to York and stayed at the Yorktowne Hotel for Lindsay's wedding. The wedding was fantastic, and she looked great. We also got to see Anna and Joel. I had a great time, but the hotel was a disaster. York looks even more dilapidated than it did when we were there. The Bob Evans we had planned on visiting was closed, so that was upsetting.

Today I need to fix the shower (which apparently broke while we were gone, wtf?), pick up the dog from the kennel, buy some baby food (yum yum), and get some $$ work and school work done before class tonight. Pretty busy, but it's just so nice to be home.
