And, today...
May. 31st, 2009 07:46 pmToday we went to Autocross down in Stratford. It was a great time. We stayed for a couple hours before Lily got too warm and too tired. We didn't get early enough to enter the Mustang, but it's probably best anyway, since I need to do a little work on it first.
I finally cleaned out the Mustang (after we got back). I also washed both cars (long overdue). Then, in either some sort of fit or productive behavior or moment of insanity, I decided to hand-wax the Mustang. That was a boatload of work, and it was somewhat unfortunate to rediscover every ding, dent, chip, scratch, and bit of rust on the thing in the process.
I would like to get the wheels balanced and the oil changed so that
kuzu_no_ha can race it in Bristol on Sunday. Now that I think about it however, I don't know who will watch the baby, since I'm teaching a pistol safety class that day. Still, it really sounds like a balancing and/or alignment will fix the issue.
I didn't get as much stuff done today as I wanted (mainly prepping the training materials), but I had a damn fine day. I'm pretty exhausted, too. The wind is definitely picking up, so I went ahead and closed the windows before everything I own is randomized. It was awesome to see Karl and Pete, and the Spitfire was hugely popular with the neighborhood.
