This weekend has been a recipe for suck.
I went to a customer's site Monday and Tuesday for an install, and the CD that they gave us had *almost* the wrong version of every piece of software we needed. We ended up on the phone to the home office almost the entire time, trying to get the junk to work.
The customer is in King of Prussia, PA, and I thought I would be clever, and not take a hotel room so that I could save the company some $$, but more importantly, sleep at home. Unfortunately, that left me with a 2 hour drive each way. In the last two days, I've probably spent more time driving than sleeping. Yesterday, I didn't get anything to eat all day because we were under so much pressure.
Overall, the new job isn't working out very well. I'm getting paychecks, and that is an excellent thing, but I just can't imagine staying there longer than it takes to find something better. Maybe that will be 3 months, or maybe until I finish my degree, but I'm so *out of there* the minute something else comes along.
I'm trying to beat my way through the application/financial aid process at U of Phoenix - Online, but it is completely insane. I have faxed various documents three times, and now I have to fedex them. Oy.
