Happy Thanksgiving!

We drove to Beach Haven, NJ almost exactly 3.5 hours each way. I saw Scott, Lori and their family for the first time in many years. It was nice to get caught up with old friends who I thought were lost.

I joyously got gas on the way back, just before we left NJ. New Jersey is famous for it's extra-cheap gas (19 cents cheaper) and that it's illegal for you to pump your own gas there. Some dumbass New Yorker stopped at the gas station, and freaked out on the attendant. "What do you mean it doesn't cost more for you to pump it!" The guy actually got back in his car and drove off, thinking the attendant was trying to cheat him. Dork.

I don't blame anyone for being wierded out by New Jersey's crazing gas station laws, but don't look a gift horse in the mouth. If you get gas for cheaper, and someone else has to pump it, why worry?

Note for northeast travelers... There is a place where you can drive less than thirty miles and save 40-60 cents per gallon on gas. It's generally cheaper to drive into NJ and get gas before even considering motor vehicles in Connecticut.
