Paypal

Okay, I frequently use Paypal to buy things on-line from auctions or websites. I generally use it because it is more convenient and safer than sharing credit card numbers.

However, I recently (six weeks ago) paid from something with PayPal, and not only did I not receive the goods, the merchant does not even return my calls. I finally complained to PayPal yesterday, and I learned something new.

To get PayPal to investigate a complaint, it *must* be filled within 30 days of the original payment. If you file it afterward, it "goes on their permanent record" but realistically, your money is gone.

In the future, if you buy something and pay with PayPal, make sure you get it before the 30 days are up. If day 29 has arrived, and you still have not received the goods, file the complaint immediately.

Thanks for the lesson, Nathan. That's something I didn't know about at all.. yikes..

But I'm sorry to hear that merchant is being so.. just WRONG! Probably some moron who thinks running a business is just a matter of putting things up on eBay and waiting for money to come in. Idiots.. the whole world needs ALOT less of 'em..

There are a lot of unpleasant business types on the internet, I'm sorry you had to run into one of them.
