Packing...

So... Packing continues.

Current status:

  1. Piano IS MOVED! YAY FOR BALFAR AND [livejournal.com profile] darthluna!!!
  2. Closets - 95% complete. Remaining hanging clothes require six garbage bags and twenty minutes.
  3. Shelves - 85% complete. Pantry and stairs shelf left.
  4. Cupboards - 55% complete. [livejournal.com profile] zohra has started on the dishes.
  5. Basement - 50% complete. Initial purge and sort. Tools are not packed at all.
  6. Bedroom - 90% complete.
  7. Office - 25% complete. Mass purging of junk is complete, but remaining stuff is essential to operations.
That probably leaves about 10-20 man-hours of packing left. Pretty cool that I'm supposed to work tomorrow. The basement is the big question mark. The rest I know I can finish.

I really don't want to have to come back.

I am with Temair, you can do it.
Then we can all unpack eachother's stuff cuz that is WAY more fun than unpacking our own.

When in doubt, throw it out. That's my packing motto. Mind you, it's bitten my ass more than once, so take it with a grain of salt. *grin*

The piano movers were nice in person, even tho' they were unprofessional asses at a distance. And boy, are they professionals. Who knew you could just zip a piano in like that. Gave helpful suggestions and were polite etc.

Talking to them. we now suspect a lot of thier unprofessional snottiness is reactionary to dealing with the gold coast types who treat them like unworthy servents who must wait on them and kiss thier a$$'s while they do it. Still unprofessional, but more understandable.
