So [livejournal.com profile] zohra didn't get home until about 10:00 PM last night. I had already locked up, taken the dog out, and moved upstairs to go to bed. She hadn't eaten, so I fed her warmed up leftovers (thanks [livejournal.com profile] darthluna) while I ate the chocolate torte she brought for me. Still, it meant a late night all around, and I still had to get up for work.

I did finish moving the shoe racks to the new closet posts, though. I also moved down the hanger rail and installed the other shelf. I still need to move the other post and put up the other hanging rail, but progress is definitely being made. If I get some time tonight, it might even be done before the weekend. I need to try and remember to do some laundry tonight, too, or I will be sad tomorrow when I'm getting ready for fighter practice.

I heard about an accidental shooting during a gun safety class on the news this morning. Never underestimate the power of human stupidity. If his goal was to scare the crap out of all those people, he did a great job.

My sinuses say there is yet another weather front coming though. I'm getting pretty tired of them at this point.

OK,I'm deaf and i heard that round chamber.

How could he not know there was a magazine in the gun about on third of the weight of a glock comes from the weight of the bullets. So knowing the magazine was present, and hearing the round chamber. what makes him think the weapon will not fire?

Well, the guy was clearly a rocket scientist. Seriously, if you are going to be a crowded room showing them a gun, at least learn how to use the damn thing. Also, if you just shot yourself teaching a gun safety class, *try* and safe the weapon and tell everyone to go home.

I don't care for Glocks because they are ugly, but I will add that the whole grip safety thing doesn't impress me either. I respect the engineering that went in to it, but for people with little training and (apparently) no common sense, I think a more secure safety system is in order (don't give them bullets).
