Dear Mr. Rawling,
Thank you for your interest in the campaign. Concerned voters like you
are important to this election process and in moving the debate on important
issues well past November 7th.
In answer to your question, the current ban on electronic defense
weapons, as well as current laws regarding assault weapons in this state,
are necessary to ensure that our citizens aren't needlessly placed in harms
way. There is no need, as a sportsman, to own any firearm that constitutes
an assault weapon under current law. However, I do support a sportsman's
right to own a firearm for sport provided they've received the proper
training and licensure and that they abide with current state statutes.
Thank you again for your interest in my campaign.
Sincerely,
Michael Erickson
Candidate for State Representative,
District 115, West Haven
Wow, that was really helpful. (actually, it was)
It seems a little wacky to me, to live in a district with a gun-grabbing republican candidate, and a pro-gun democratic incumbent? +5 points for bucking the stereotypes, guys.
