The garage is gone. Many thanks to jeep_squire for his hard work, and thanks to alpha_duke for the monster jigsaw. I still have a little cleanup left, but we managed to get the last of the roof into the dumpster before the weather came. Pretty good timing there.

I didn't see any old people rat poison. Lots of old people carpenter ants and bees though. The ants were having a great panic, running in circles with their pupae.

a fine job! And thank you for not guilting my man into helping. With this stupid awful work schedule he has so little free time. And, strangely, there was no pressure for him to come help "cause he's a big guy".
Of course you and jeepsquire know how that works I'm sure.

Anyway, just saying that it's nice to be helpful and counted on as a neighbor and friend without being assumed free labor.

cause we will help with stuff. Frankly, I'd like to help lay the floor in your bathroom. I'm figure I can trade my labor for your knowledge. Plus learning on your floor before tackling mine. Which we shan't mention to my man until it's too late for him to freak out.
Working on yours would also let me know if that particular type of work is going to be beyond my physical capacity.
