I AM JOB!!!
Apr. 21st, 2003 08:05 pmI started at my new job today. I spent about three hours just doing paperwork, W4s, I9s, insurance, etc etc.
I think it's going to be a good place to work. Right now, things are sortof a mess, since they are growing at like 300% a year, but I think I can smooth out the worst of it. There are a very limited number of complete idiot jerk-wads, and everyone else desperately wants to see the company succeed.
Also, I report directly to a VP, and I get along great with one of the Sr VPs.
It's a friendly place were everyone knows each other, and there's a candy jar in every hallway. I think it will be great once I get settled in.
In the meantime though, I definitely have some hard work ahead of me. It's going to be a trick to come up to speed on all of their systems and applications. It doesn't seem to be quite as bad as I thought it was, and that is *definitely* a good thing.
