Well, it appears that congratulations are in order to President-Elect Obama. I think you'll be a terrible president, but I've been wrong before (George W. Bush). On the balance, I never thought McCain would do a great job either. At least the damn thing is over.

Should be fun. Now, off to NYC.

SOO glad it's over. I'm sure Hartford will have a party-like atmosphere. Let's see how long the party and elation lasts.

At this point, I'm daring the universe to show me how it could possibly get worse :D Bring it, Universe.

Well, we could have Canada's health care system, Sweden's tax rates, and Iran's individual freedoms. So, personally, I think it could get a lot worse.

Besides, gas prices are way down.

Well, I don't hear good things about how the system works for people that need surgeries.

That's why I like mine, I've never needed it yet. Though you're absolutely right (Zohra telling me about it). My grandfather in law waited two years for a hernia surgery (and some eyeball work too). My aunt in law has Parkinsons and seems to be able to bypass these waiting lists, she just got her battery changed a couple months ago. But she still had to wait 3 weeks for the operation. Which was absurd. For that period, she was a real Parkinsons' paitent, down to the zero control and couldn't do anything (she had an experiemental surgery a few years ago here, with a battery that helps control it, she lives a pretty normal life).

I never ask those questions. It always falls under be careful what you wish for. On the other hand IMHO anyone is better than what we've got now.
