Happy Valentine's Day
Feb. 14th, 2009 01:40 pmSo, it sounds like
osgkar is getting out of the hospital today. That's awesome news, and I'm glad to hear it. I'm also glad to hear that Del got her double-bypass which will hopefully make her a lot healthier. My best wishes to everyone involved in that.
In order news, I'm buried in work. I didn't get much school work done in the two weeks before 1/26, because I spent every minute I had working on the 45 page paper for the Probate Journal (the draft I turned it was 33 pages). Then, we traveled two weekends in a row (first Birka, then Lindsey's wedding), so this is really the first weekend in a month that I take to play catch-up. I've managed to catch-up to the reading in every class except Elder Law, but I have something like 100 pages to read for that, and the last 50 pages took over 8 hours. Blec.
Oh, and the final draft of that 45 page paper is due on 3/6, so I have about three weeks to rewrite and add another 12 pages to that too. The fact that I'm about 8 pages ahead of everyone else doesn't change the fact that I have to get up to 45 pages for the final or they will bounce it back again. Argh.
I also would like to accomplish a few other things, like dealing with the taxes, mounting the new under-cabinet knife block, and cleaning up some of the worst of my clutter that has built up around here. I think all of that will keep me out of trouble for a while. At some point I should finish stacking the firewood and rake the leaves too. Heh.

Lily get's stronger every day. Lately she's been a pretty happy baby, enjoying three primary modes: sleeping, eating, and smiling. It's been good times.
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!
EDIT:
So taxes are done now. Feds, refund; NY, refund; CT, owe. I forgot that I also need to do the VITA certification exam soon too. If not this weekend, then before too long.
