I'm pretty darn tired. I haven't been this tired since I left that job where I was driving two hours each way to Maryland. Can't blame work this time; it's a combination of too much fun on the weekend (guess I'm old) and too much schoolwork the past few evenings. It was an awesome birthday weekend, I couldn't ask for better. All of my friends were there, and we partied like it was going out of style.
If I wasn't -26 hours of vacation time, I'd stay home for sure. Just want to sleep. I'd like to play my new GameCube (thank you![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
zohra), but I'd probably sleep.
The flip side is that I'm getting a promotion at work. One of the longest running contractors in my department is leaving, and I'm getting his spot. I'm switching from doing database administration to Cognos development, which is probably a career risk, but it's not like I'm going to forget how to run databases on Monday. I think really it's just an opportunity to pick up a bunch of saleable skills that mesh with my current repetroire.
I was interviewing a potential candidate to backfill my job yesterday: that was wierd.
