I'm dreadfully amused... I've never caught anyone deleting one of my comments off of LJ before. I think there is a particularly pleasing irony that it was a comment dissenting with someone claiming that others don't tolerate dissent.

I respect your right to your views, but I wasn't interested in reading that comment again, as I disagreed strongly with the statement. I felt it was more important for my current mental health and to keep a friend, instead of allowing myself to become angry with you every I time I reviewed that entry.

Falling back on the lame "it's my lj and I'll do what I like" excuse (because it's too damn early in the morning and its hard enough to think, don't make me cogitate as well), it's a place for me to vent, not for me to get mad at my friends. If it's that important to you, recomment and I'll leave it up.

It's okay. I'm not angry about it, because it is your LiveJournal, and I really am amused by it. I didn't make an attempt to call you out on the carpet or anything for doing it, but I did want to express my feelings in my own LJ.

I do think it is a shame that my honest views are not welcome, but if that is what you have to do to keep yourself comfortable, I suppose it can't be helped. Remember, don't go easy on your friends, they'll go soft.
