Phone stuff
Dec. 15th, 2005 11:27 amPhones, DSL, and wireless are all working now at the new house.
I am currently writing this post from the new set up. I would like to thank SBC for the relatively painless installation, which has spared me installing pretty much all of the software I didn't want. The only peeves I have now are:
- I can't figure out how to change the WEP key (assuming you even can)
- I really want the SBC banner off of My Yahoo account. It just doesn't blend well with the colors.
Still, relative to many of the other ISDN and DSL installs I've been through, this definitely gets a 9.5/10.
Oh, and the DSL is wicked fast too.
On the flip side, there are only two types of horizontal surfaces with an in my house right now suitable for setting the laptop on: the floor, and the countertops. As it turns out, the countertops aren't too bad, just a touch low for typing while standing. It will do for now.
