So, last night I finally made time to put oil in the truck. When you take the dipstick out, wipe it, put it back in, pull it out, check it and it is still clean, that is not good. So I poured in the last two quarts I had for now. Perhaps I can pay more attention to it this weekend. I've known that is was low all week, but right now I get pretty much zero daylight when I'm in the car. Since we don't have any lights on the outside of the house yet, that means working on the truck is almost impossible without going somewhere else or doing it by flashlight.

After that, I went up to fighter practice with [livejournal.com profile] alpha_duke. I fought for a while (maybe an hour) before my right hand just couldn't take it any more, and then I borrowed [livejournal.com profile] osgkar's little center grip heater and fought left handed. That did not go well. I'm apparently much better at blocking polearm shots with my other shield that I ever realized. I got home around 11:30, or thereabouts, I think. I showered and stuff and got to bed around midnight or 12:30.

This morning, I have to interview some ya-hoo in Delhi, India at 9:00 AM, so there is no room to sleep in. I actually got up early (5:30) to avoid any possible chance to get hosed by the metro-north. I managed to body check the doorframe in the kitchen with the bruised side when I missed a step at the bottom of the stairs, and accidentally pushed the plexiglass window out of the back storm door. I spent about ten minutes trying to fix that before I gave up, juggled the cars around again, and started on my way.

So, here I am at work (been here since about 7:45), and the only other person in the office so far is an asshole Cognos Planning guy who is complaining that our conference room is smaller than his personal office. I'm proud of my self-restraint.

Hopefully, I can leave work a little early today. It's been a long week, and I miss being at home with [livejournal.com profile] zohra.

Well, that particular pane never fit right anyhow. If I can't get it back in with tools and spare time, I can take it up to Chuck's.

*shrug* I want a new door anyway. I don't like that one.
It makes my hackles raise in a pure Flintoid manner.
