The trip into work this morning was awful. I slept in an hour, and I usually drive at that point. However, I figured that it is convenient enough to take the train home to justify a little extra annoyance in the morning. I had not anticipated the 31 minute delay between my house and the New Haven train station (for a state trooper and an orange cone), nor the train running fifteen minutes late. Grr.

Work is boring today. My boss has been out of the office due to a kidney stone, so Allyson and I have been sitting around trying to avoid all of the Cognos idiots. We had something of a fire drill this morning, but, as usual, it was caused by user error. I did get a bunch of stuff done, but I'm far enough ahead of schedule now that I need to pace myself with the remaining work.

Tonight I hope to finish up the laundry so that [livejournal.com profile] zohra can pack for her trip. Going to miss her a bunch, but I'm glad that she gets to go somewhere fun for the weekend. The dog and I will probably sleep in, play some Nintendo, and that sort of thing. I suppose I might find a few things to do around the house, too.

Heh.

Thanks [livejournal.com profile] temair, for the new picture (swiped from your new site). I think it is definitely one of the better pictures of me in recent memory, even if I am squinting into the sun.

I want to go home.

Bet you were still the first one into work. Just saying.

The pic was taken by MR. There are two others I really like. The fighting one will be up soon. The other, unfortunately, has Eleanor's nose in your face, but is still an excellent pic of you. With MR's permission, I should have all of the shots from Coronation that I like up on the new site this weekend....
