(no subject)

zohra and I were over at Leah and Bryan's last night to celebrate Leah's birthday. Zohra made a fine cake with beautiful decoration, and we played a couple games of Lord of the Rings Monopoly. We really like the LotR variable, because the One Ring ensures that the game doesn't drag on for too long.

After that, we watched "Eight Legged Freaks". Very funny, in an Army of Darkness sort of way. There was some sort of vehicular screaming and honking celebration in downtown Lancaster as we were leaving. It wasn't late enough for the bars to be closing, so I suppose it was just your usual random idiocy.

Hopefully, it won't be so long before we see them again, I think it was over a month this time.

It's been a nice day today. We went to breakfast at Bob Evans, and went shopping at Sams. Sams was okay, but they didn't have any shirts that I wanted. We still ended up paying a fortune though, even if we won't need to be toothpaste again until 2005.

I completed my second Java GUI program today. I have a rough time getting the scrollbar to work right. I have a strong suspicion that it's a Java bug, but once I moved the scrollbar object from the attributes and into the constructor, it worked fine.

In any case, it's yet another mortgage application. It has some checkboxes to select term and interest rate, and then it displays the amortization schedule with scrollbars. Anyone who would like to see it, just check http://homepage.mac.com/nrawling/pos407/week3/.
