Glad *that* is over with.
Feb. 3rd, 2005 06:30 pmToday was a real challenge. It wasn't wildly grueling, just consistently unpleasant.
I barely sat down at my desk before the parade of people with problems started, and I spent the entire day load-balancing between things that needed to be fixed ASAP. On top of that my boss spent the afternoon freaking out about a data problem that's been around for the last seven years that results in a reporting problem about every blue moon.
About half of my coworkers are out tomorrow, but unfortunately, it's ones that I like. That means that tomorrow will likely be a repeat of slight variegated ickyness, punctuated by episodes of loneliness and boredom. On the high side, we're starting to make some inroads on fixing the real problems. Hopefully, someday soon things like start to settle down again.
I started SQL for Business today, and we have to buy Microsoft SQL Server. Unfortunately, the stupid college bookstore's website is freaking out, so I probably won't get to enjoy the pleasure of lining Bill Gate's pockets with woven diamonds for at least another day. Yet another UoP class that I could undoubtedly teach. I'll probably get the grade for the last one sometime this week.
