Squire Gerard would... oh, wait.
Feb. 6th, 2005 12:37 pmI had a great time at Fields of Gold yesterday. (What? That's an A&S event!)
Ys got her Maunche, and a Golden Tiger, and won her division of the Golden Quill. I took lots of pictures during court, and whacked my friends all day in the parking lot. In the late afternoon, with the Royalty present, Sir Osgkar took me as his second squire (Draco is his first). There were only a few fighters: Osgkar, Asbjorne, and another local fighter. This meant lots of physical abuse from Osgkar's polearm, but I had a good time and learned many new things. His Majesty kept giving me advice, which I believe was designed to irritate Osgkar.
Chip and Ann stayed with us for the weekend. We had a great time making spaghetti with venison sausage last night, and coffee, spicy sausage and biscuits this morning. We goofed around with the pictures we took and played with the dog; it was just the perfect weekend. It's a shame they had to leave, but I love having them over. They have to drive about six hours home, and see their daughter. ;-)
Today we have a faculty concert, and dinner with our friends from the school. That and homework should fill up the rest of the day.
