Dishwasher... DONE!

I was able to cut and install the counter top, mount it, and complete the dishwasher installation today. More work that it sounds like, since I had to undo all of the plumbing to mount the counter top, and then reinstall.

But we are currently washing dishes now. YAY!


On to the trim and remaining cabinets.

To get underneath the counter top to screw it to the sides, I had to undo the supply, drain, and electrical so that I could slide the dishwasher out far enough to get underneath.

But, the good news is that I got everything together again with no leaks, and we've used it several times to good purpose.

It is a bit like the project that never ends: I still have two cabinets to install over the sink, and floor and doorway trim to replace, but all of the parts that actually do stuff or are scary are done.

I can't believe how much we've spent on this project though. A fridge and a dishwasher equals BIG BUCKS. But, at this point, everything in the kitchen is new except for some cabinets, the sink, and the stove. Maybe next year we will get to those pieces.
